New Study Reveals Ideal Angle for Achieving Optimal Facelift Results

Optimal Facelift Results in New York, NY

“Finding the Angle of Maximal Rejuvenation” Study Published September 2012 in Aesthetic Surgery Journal

New York, NY (September 12, 2012) – Aesthetic Surgery Journal has published a revolutionary study surrounding the ideal angle for achieving optimal facelift results in the September 2012 issue. The angle, referred to as the “Angle of Maximal Rejuvenation” was pioneered by New York Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. Andrew Jacono. The “Angle of Maximal Rejuvenation” is characterized by the greatest reduction of laxity (looseness) and joweling (sagging), without flattening the midface, creating bunching or pleats. The study, out this month, reveals that the “Angle of Maximal Rejuvenation” for patients with a mean age of 60 years old was found to be 60 degrees. Additionally, this angle inversely correlates to the age of a patient in that the greater the age, these lesser the angle.

“The discovery of the ‘Angle of Maximal Rejuvenation’ is another step towards perfecting facelifting techniques,” said Dr. Jacono, who often publishes on the subject. “By using this technique, results achieve an individual, customized look based on the patient’s face shape and age, giving the most youthful, natural appearance.”

Results of the “Angle of Maximal Rejuvenation” are in keeping with the Golden Proportion, a ratio which artists have used for more than two thousand years in creating beauty and symmetry. Dr. Jacono further discusses the Golden Proportion and the Golden Calipers that measure this proportion in his book, The Face of the Future – Look Natural, Not Plastic: A Less-invasive Approach to Enhance Your Beauty and Reverse Facial Aging (Addicus, $19.95), which is out this October 2012 in book stores nationwide.
