What is Vaginal Rejuvenation with Laser Tightening?

Women commonly experience excessive vaginal dryness, looseness of vaginal tissue, urinary incontinence, and painful/unpleasant intercourse. Natural aging and childbirth are major causes of these issues. Using the CO2 laser and a specially designed wand, we can correct these issues with one or more treatments.

How Vaginal Laser Tightening is Performed

The vaginal tightening procedure works by stimulating the production of collagen within the vaginal wall tissues. The process stimulates collagen production, to produce more and circulate it within the vaginal tissues. This tightens the tissue walls and restores a youthful appearance. This non-surgical procedure uses the Fraxel CO2 laser. This laser delivers controlled energy to the vaginal tissue leaving the surrounding tissue intact. As the tissue heats up, it stimulates new collagen production throughout the tissue. This procedure is an excellent option to reverse laxity and dryness which can lead to improved appearance and sensation.

What to Expect During Your Procedure

Our vaginal laser treatment is minimally invasive and will have very little to no downtime at all. We perform this procedure in our Long Island and Great Neck, New York surgical centers. Patients do not need local or general anesthesia for this treatment, as it is pain-free. At most, we may apply topical anesthetic to numb discomfort.

Recovery from Vaginal Laser Rejuvenation

On the same day, patients typically return to daily activities. Following the treatment, we recommend that patients wait 3 to 4 days before resuming intercourse. Please refrain from using tampons currently, as well.

After the procedure, we will provide you with instructions on maintaining and caring for your results at home. Redness or swelling is not uncommon, but it usually subsides within 2 days.
