Thermitight Skin Tightening of the Abdomen Before and After Patient 1:
Why Choose ThermiTight?
ThermiTight skin tightening is a safe and effective way to reduce or eliminate the appearance of loose hanging skin from your body, including those stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to both diet and exercise. But one of the best reasons to choose this non-surgical body contouring procedure is that it carries little to no risk associated with having it done. This revolutionary procedure uses radio-frequency energy (RF) to heat the subdermal layers of your skin which in turn causes the natural production of collagen. This increase in collagen production helps to tighten and refresh sagging skin leaving your skin looking more youthful and wrinkle free.
The procedure takes little time to complete and will be performed under local anesthesia in the comfort of our state-of-the-art office. After anesthesia is administered, the procedure typically takes about an hour to perform, but will depend on how many areas of the body are being treated. Since this procedure has little to no downtime, most patients will not need to miss much time from work if any, and the procedure can be completed in a single session.
How Does ThermiTight Body Tightening Work?
Using energy to heat up the subdermal layers of skin tissue to increase the production of collagen, the TermiTight procedure is simplistic in nature. Since it targets the layers beneath the surface of the skin, the results are long lasting.
To begin the procedure, a local anesthesia will be administered just underneath the skin to numb the treatment area. This will ensure that patients will be comfortable and pain free during the tightening treatment. Once the anesthesia has been administered, a handheld radio-frequency wand (RF probe) will placed just below the skin of the treatment area. The probe will then send out controlled radio-frequency energy to the sub-dermal tissues. This RF energy will force the tissue to become more compact and the result is that loose skin will be tightened.

Since the tissue shrinkage happens during the procedure, the results of tighter skin can be seen at the treatment area immediately. The results will continue to improve over the next 6 to 8-weeks as the collagen continue to produce, and the skin tissue continues to get tighter and smoother.
What to Expect After a ThermiTight Procedure
Most patients experience some initial discomfort which subsides over a small period of time and is localized to the areas where anesthesia was administered. Tylenol or a mild pain reliever are effective methods for dealing with any discomfort that may be present. Results can be seen immediately following the procedure, but they will continue to improve over the next 6 weeks or so. The results are not permanent but should last for several years for most patients.
There are minimal risks associated with the ThermiTight procedure which can include a reaction to the local anesthesia but is very rare. Some swelling and redness may occur for a period of a week or two after the treatment has concluded.
Since this is a simple outpatient treatment, most patients can return to work or normal daily activities within 1 to 2 days. Depending upon the swelling, patients are advised to take a few extra days to heal, but that decision is entirely up to each patient to make for themselves.
