The Best Facial Fillers for Different Parts of the Face

There has been a notable spike in the use of facial fillers in recent years, and it may very well be linked to the great results that celebrity Kylie Jenner has touted from her experience with facial fillers. But with or without Kylie, women (and men) are rushing to the plastic surgeon to get cosmetic fillers for their faces. But what are the best facial injections? What is the best cosmetic filler?

In this article, we outline the five best face fillers.

It All Depends On Where You Need It

To determine which facial filler is best, you need to know where and how that facial filler will be used. Different injection sites require different types of fillers.

Cheekbones

Cheekbones need more lift than other parts of the face, so they would need something known as G Prime, which refers to the density or thickness of the filler. High G Prime fillers are used in areas that need a lot of volume like the cheekbones and mandible.

In a situation like this, Juvederm Volumna XC is often used. It’s one of the longest-lasting fillers, which can stay for up to two years. Other fillers in this area could be Restylane Lyft or Juvederm Ultra XC.

Chin

This is another location where a thick filler is especially useful, so Juvederm Volumna XC is a prime candidate. Sometimes the plastic surgeon may go in from underneath with a thinner filler, like Juvederm Ultra XC or Restylane Lyft.

Nasolabial Folds

Nasolabial folds, for those unaware, are essentially smile lines. They’re the indentation lines on either side of the mouth that are drawn from the nose to the tip of the lips. To solve nasolabial folds, the fillers that plastic surgeons prefer are thinner, with finer particle sizes.

The general consensus is that Juvederm Vollure XC is a great filler for smile lines. It’s particularly good because it has strength both deep and at the surface. It’s also one of the longer-lasting fillers.

Lips

Lips are tricky because some women want big full lips like the Kardashians, but most just want healthy-looking natural lips with a little bit of body. There’s also an important point to be made here that the lips touch things more often than the cheekbones or the chin. Specifically, they touch other people’s lips, and we want to make sure that the experience of kissing someone who has had lip filler is every bit as pleasing as kissing a natural lip – for both parties.

For this reason, Juvederm Volbella XC is one of the best options. It feels like a normal lip. On the other hand, if someone does want Kardashian lips, then a thicker G Prime is called for, and the doctor may use Juvederm Ultra CX.

Under the Eye

Under the eye is a tricky procedure, and you want to make sure that you’re getting it from the best-trained plastic surgeon you can find. The problem is that if you use too much filler, then sunken eyes can quickly turn into baggy eyes, and this is compounded by the amount of water that is natural to the area.

The general consensus is to use Restylane. Restylane is hydrophobic and doesn’t mix with water as much as other fillers would.

Now that you know the best facial fillers on the market, it’s time to talk to your doctor.
